Meet Canna

Canna is a bonny piebald mare who's ready to go off on a new adventure as a child’s second pony. She is very sweet natured and adores attention; Canna would happily stand for hours being pampered. Canna is very sensible on the ground and will be great for kids to groom and fuss over. She is looking for a home with a child rider who will be confident to hack and school her. Canna is happily cantering out hacking and in the arena; she has also popped a little jump however this may not be Canna’s forte in life. She would be best suited to a child to go out and have lots of fun with; she can get a bit forward when out hacking if there's lots going on so is not suited as a first pony. She will need a competent little jockey out on loan and her maximum rider weight limit is 8.5 stone. Please note that Canna needs to be ridden in a 15” saddle so is being rehomed as a child's pony. Canna gains weight easily so needs a home on restricted grazing but will happily mix with mares or geldings. She also requires management for mallanders and sallenders so will need topical cream applied regularly to control this. History

Canna came into World Horse Welfare's care as one of a group of 20 that were taken in by Belwade Farm in September 2018. The group had originally been signed over into RSPCA care as a welfare case during 2018.
