Meet Ruth

Ruth is a lovely little mare but can become a little worried in new situations. She just needs to be allowed to assess anything new in her own time. She would benefit from a confident handler who can reassure her if needed. Ruth thrives in a regular routine where she knows what to expect. Once settled she is good to handle and really does try to please. She enjoys a good fuss and a pamper. Ruth is best suited to a quiet home with not much change where she can kick up her heels and enjoy being a horse.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Ruth can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Ruth is not suitable to be worked.

History

Ruth was recently returned from loan due to a change in circumstances and through no fault of her own.
