Meet Grangefields Bella

Bella is a pretty, friendly little pony who is easy to care for with her sensible and level headed nature. She is a polite girl who is good to handle. Bella will need careful grazing management as she is prone to gaining weight easily although she will happily stable part time, if needed, to help with her weight management. Bella is a very sweet little pony who makes a lovely non ridden companion to others with similar dietary requirements.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Grangefields Bella can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Grangefields Bella is not suitable to be worked.

History

Bella was discovered in a very poor condition and was signed over to the RSPCA by her owner. She was recently returned from loan following a change in circumstances of her rehomer,
