Meet Molly Malone

Potential home found
Molly Malone has the sweetest temperament and a lovely nature. She is a kind mare who is good to handle in all ways. She gets on well with others in her herd and is careful to avoid any conflict as she much prefers a peaceful life. She loves a fuss and despite everything she has been through, Molly Malone is very trusting. She sometimes gets scabs behind her knees but this is easily managed with a weekly HiBi scrub and Protection Plus applied. Providing this is kept up and not allowed to become sore, Molly Malone will happily stand quietly for this treatment. Molly Malone does have the potential to back to ride if her rehomer has experience of this. Molly Malone will have a maximum rider weight limit of 9 to 9.5 stones.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Molly Malone could be worked in the future.
History
Molly Malone was one of 26 equines cruelly crammed into a lorry to be illegally exported out of the UK. It is believed their most likely destination was a slaughter house in Europe. Molly Malone was pregnant at the time.
