Meet DC Wild Girl (14) (Jean)

Jean is ready to find a home as a non ridden companion. She is a friendly mare, who likes routine and familiarity. She can be a little sensitive and wary when in new situations and with people she doesn't know, but once she's settled and has got to know you she is very trusting. Jean is currently living out within a group of mares, and tends to make strong friends with just one other horse. She has become quite attached to Phoebe and they get on incredibly well, so it would be nice if they could find a home together. She is good to catch, handle, groom and for the vet and farrier once she knows them. She is currently living out with a rug and shelter, but will stable as part of a routine with other horses around her. She doesn't really need her grazing restricted through the spring/summer months but instead just needs her weight monitored. If you can offer Jean a home, please apply online.

DC Wild Girl (14) (Jean) can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that DC Wild Girl (14) (Jean) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Jean came into Penny Farm in foal and very underweight. Sadly her foal was stillborn shortly after arriving with us.
