Meet Maldwyn Toby

Toby is ready find his new home as a non ridden companion. Toby came into Penny farm entire and unhandled. He was very nervous on arrival and it has taken his groom a long time to gain his trust and build his confidence up. Toby requires a specific set up in a new home where he will feel most comfortable. He is best suited on a very small, quiet private yard where there will be one or two maximum other small ponies he can become friends with. He is best suited to a home where he will be handled by adults only and not have many visiting children. He doesn't mind being left on his own in a stable while another pony is taken out. The yard would ideally have a small setup with stables either attached to his field, or very close by. Toby is a very kind, sweet natured pony, who really tries his hardest to please, but he is still nervous in new situations, and will take some time to settle in to a new yard. We are looking for a home where he will be given a good amount of time to settle in and adjust to his new surroundings and to his new vet and farrier. He is good to catch with a little treat, to lead, handle, groom and bath. He is still nervous with the vet and farrier and is much better being held with treats. Toby has mild sweetitch which is kept under control with a fly rug and topical treatments. Once Toby trusts his handler, he is the sweetest, kindest little pony, with the cutest little character, and we would love to find him a new home where he can find that bond with another person. If you can offer Toby a home, please apply online.
