Introduction to Groundwork -Demonstration and  Workshop

Join our team to learn basic groundwork skills, lunging and how to long rein. During this work shop we will give an introduction to basic ground work techniques to improve leading and set up a foundation from which you and your horse can learn to lunge. We will demonstrate tacking up with a roller and how to long rein your horse. Long reining is a great way to set your horse up for further education and backing. 

There are a limited number of places to ensure that all participants benefit so book your place today.  Please note there is an age limit of 14 and above for this session. There may be opportunities to join in a practical session –  you will need to bring a riding hat, gloves and boots if you wish to take part or you can just watch and learn – the choice is yours.

Free farm entry is included in the ticket price and the Cafe will be open too so you can enjoy a full day of horses – perfect!

How do I book an event?

You can book tickets quickly and easily via our event ticket form. You can only make one booking per transaction, so if you’re planning to attend multiple events please book each date separately.

To book your tickets you’ll just need to select the event date and the number of tickets required. You’ll receive an email confirming the details of your event booking – please keep this safe! You’ll need to either print it out or have it to hand on your phone when you visit to confirm proof of your booking. 

Please note that you can only book a set number of tickets via our website, so if you’re looking to arrange a larger group booking please get in touch with us by emailing bfevents@worldhorsewelfare.org and we’ll be very happy to help.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.  If you cannot attend on the date for which they were purchased (even if this is due to circumstances beyond your control) a refund or exchange cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us to see if you are entitled to a refund or exchange by emailing  bfevents@worldhorsewelfare.org.
