Meet Clover

Sweet lady Clover is now looking for her new home as a non-ridden companion. Clover is an older lady who is very good to catch and loves to come in for a groom, pamper and snack. Last year she sadly became quite unwell due to an infection and so needed a lot of veterinary care over a short period of time. Due to the amount of medication she needed, she became very weary of the vet and needles. Due to this her groom has been working hard in desensitising her to the vet and needles, through clicker training and as Clover is a very smart cookie who is a quick learner, it did not take them long to get her over her fear. Clover is looking for a new home where they can carry on her training so that when she needs injections, she remains calm. She is well behaved for the farrier and has happily been clipped with quiet clippers. After the infection she did struggle to gain weight, but after 6 months she is now gaining weight well. We do however know that she had a history of laminitis, so though she has been able to take on a bit more food over winter, her weight needs to be strictly monitored in the summer months. If you would like to offer Clover a new home, please apply online.
