Meet Belle

Bonny Belle is looking for a new home as a companion pony. Belle is lovely to spend time with, and she simply adores attention from her groom. She is a straightforward pony who is easy to handle and well behaved for both vet and farrier visits. Belle unfortunately didn't stand up to work and is much happier as a companion to other small ponies. She is currently living out full time with a herd of mares but could live in a mixed herd out in a home. Belle is very confident with her field mates and will let them know if she is wanting her own space; she is best on her own if being fed. She would like a home where she lives out full time as she will become stressed and weave if brought into a stable. Belle is an extremely good doer and needs a home on restricted grazing with other ponies of her type. She is good to clip with small clippers which has helped with her weight management. Belle loves attention and will happily stand all day to be brushed and pampered in our barn. She can be strong to lead if horses are running around in the field but is otherwise very good to handle. Important stuff

Belle can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Belle is not suitable to be worked.

History

Belle came in to our care along with several other mares in the winter of 2022 as part of a welfare situation.
