Meet Joy (Nancy)

Joy was born at Hall Farm in May 2025. For such a young little filly she is an extremely bold and confident character. She loves fuss and attention and is full of life. Joy is a sociable girl who gets on well with others in her herd and likes to be friends with everyone. She will require a person with previous experience of foals and youngstock who has the time to spend with her, to help further her education. Joy will need regular handling to help channel her natural exuberance in the right direction. There is also the possibility Joy could be backed to ride when she is older, although this depends very much on how she develops as she matures and not before she is at least 5 years old. Her mother is 13.2hh and Joy could reach a similar height but this is only an estimate as we have no information on her sire. At her expected height Joy would have a maximum rider weight limit of 8.5 to 9 stones. We are also happy for Joy to fulfil an equally valuable role and remain permanently as a non-ridden companion. At such a young age it is essential she is able to share grazing with others equines so she can continue to learn horse behaviour.
