Meet Martin

Martin, or Spartacus as he is known on the yard, is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion. He is a lovely little chap, with a kind nature, but he is a little bit of a worrier in life. He would make a great addition to someone's family as he gets on great with others and is just a lovely pony to be around. He is currently living out in a herd of geldings, but will happily come into a stable to be groomed, and would stable as part of a routine. He was gelded late, so is only able to be turned out with geldings. Spartacus would love a home where he will be fussed over and be taken for inhand walks and maybe do some inhand agility. Spartacus does have sweet itch, which is managed with a rug and topical treatments as and when needed. He will stay on his own in a stable while another pony is taken out, but this would need to be introduced gradually in a new home. If you can offer Spartacus a home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Martin can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Martin is not suitable to be worked.

History

Spartacus came into Penny Farm after he was found abandoned in a field with untreated sweetitch.
