Meet Tyr
Tyr is a lovely little boy who needs an experienced handler due to his very sensitive nature. Despite his age he was virtually unhandled on arrival at Hall Farm, so he has a lot of education to catch up on. He is a quick learner who is keen to do his best although he does worry inwardly. He is quite a nervous character who becomes strong when unsure of what is being asked of him so benefits from a calm, patient handler to give him guidance. We feel he would benefit from a person with an interest in equine behaviour with the time to handle him on a regular basis to help him grow in confidence. Tyr will not be suitable to ride or for a child handler. Tyr gets on well with others in his herd and he will make a loyal friend. Tyr can provide a valuable role as a non-ridden companion where he can make up on the education he has missed in the past and allow his true personality to shine through.
Important stuff
Tyr can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Tyr is not suitable to be worked.
History
Tyr was part of a prosecution case
