Meet Gurteen Bella (Cora)

Gurteen Bella (Cora) was one of a group of 20 horses detained at the port of Dover. They had been cruelly crammed into a lorry to be illegally smuggled out of the country. It is believed their final destination was a slaughter house in Europe. Cora is one of the sweetest mares you could wish to find. Even when she is faced with a situation she doesn't like she is so polite about it and simply stands still or pins her ears back. Cora tries really hard to do what is asked of her and she is such a sweetheart to handle. Cora was treated for some sarcoids that have now healed, although this should be monitored in her new home. We will never know what happened in her life to result in the horrors she endured on that lorry, but we do know Cora deserves a second chance in a home where she will be loved and valued for who she is. Cora is to be rehomed as a non-ridden companion and our dearest wish is she finds her special forever home to put her past behind her.
