Meet Summer

Summer is a sweet little mare with a kind and calm temperament. She is quite happy to stand quietly for a good groom but will start to have a little fidget to let you know once she has had enough. Summer gets along well with others in her herd and tends to steer clear of any squabbles. Overall Summer is a lovely genuine mare who is good to handle. Although not suitable to ride, Summer will make an easy and uncomplicated companion who will slot into any herd.

Important stuff

Summer can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Summer is not suitable to be worked.

History

Summer was part of a group of horses that were a potential RSPCA prosecution case. Their owner agreed to sign them over to the RSPCA as an alternative to court action.
