Urisk An Caladh

Meet Urisk An Caladh

Handsome highland pony Urisk is ready to go off to a new home as a project pony where he will go on lots of adventures. Urisk is a lovely, friendly pony who loves people, he is generally very good to handle but will need someone experienced to take him on loan. He stands well in the barn to get groomed and is happy to be left in the stable if he has a hay net, like most Highlands food is always the way to his heart. Urisk works well on the lunge, long reins and is happily hacking out alone and in company. He has only done a small amount of work in the school as he still needs to build up his strength and fitness. Urisk likes his work and is always happy to go hacking around the woods with his groom, he can be slightly spooky alone compared to in company out hacking. He is looking for a home as a project as he is still very green and will need an experienced home to bring him on further. Urisk would be great for an older competent child or small adult. Please note that Urisk is a small Highland and does not take up a lot of leg; he has a rider weight limit of 9 stone and will need a rider 5'2 or under. With some more work he should make a lovely all round ridden pony. Urisk was gelded late and cannot live with mares, he is also best suited to geldings that do not show stallion traits in the field. He likes having a fly mask on during the summer and may need a rug in wet winter weather. If you think this brilliant wee pony sounds right for your family, please apply online.
