Your free Will-writing options

Having an up-to-date Will gives you peace of mind for the future and ensures that your wishes are carried out when you’re no longer here, both in providing for your loved ones and the causes you care about. Request a free copy of our Gifts in Wills guide to find out more.

To make it easier for you to write or update your Will for free, we have partnered with Farewill and the National Free Wills Network. Both services are available to our supporters aged 18 and over and provide the opportunity to write or update a simple Will, free of charge

After taking care of those closest to you, you may wish to consider leaving a gift in your Will to World Horse Welfare. There is no obligation, but a gift of any size will help us continue building a future of hope for horses everywhere. By remembering us in your Will, your compassion becomes part of an enduring legacy.

Online

We’ve teamed up with Farewill, the UK’s best rated Will provider (rated 4.9 out of 5 on TrustPilot). Their award-winning Will-writing platform is easy to use, allowing you to write your Will online in as little as 30 minutes from the comfort of your own home.

If you need more support, Will-writing specialists are on hand to advise you and your Will is carefully checked by one of Farewill’s experts. The online service is available in England and Wales and normally costs £90 but by using the link below it will be completely free to you.

By telephone

If you would prefer to speak to someone or you have more complex Will-writing needs, Farewill also offers a telephone Will-writing service. You can simply request a call back and one of their Will-writing specialists will arrange an appointment to talk you through the process step-by-step.

Their telephone service is available UK-wide and normally costs £240, but by quoting World Horse Welfare at the beginning of your appointment, there will be no cost to you.

In person

If you would prefer to make your Will in person the National Free Wills Network offers the opportunity to do so for free, with professional advice from a local solicitor. There are over 900 solicitors registered with the Network, UK-wide, all regulated by and members of the Law Society.

To register your interest in using the National Free Wills Network service and to receive a free information pack, please email legacy@worldhorsewelfare.org or telephone us on +44(0)1953 497239. Our partner from the National Free Wills Network will then send you a list with the contact details of solicitors local to you to choose from.
