The Penny Farm Christmas Fair is back on 7th December - with Santa's Grotto bigger and better than ever.

Local businesses and primary school choirs are set to attend a Christmas Fair at our Penny Farm, near Blackpool, on 7th December. The annual event – a firm favourite with the local community – will see Santa’s Grotto return bigger and better than ever before, alongside a full programme of festive activities.
Choirs from Roseacre Primary Academy and Marton Primary Academy & Nursery will perform at this year’s Fair, as will the Blackpool Women Rockin’ Harmony Choir. Fair-goers will be able to support local businesses and pick up unique Christmas gifts at a range of craft stalls.
Penny Farm’s Christmas Fair is a major fundraising event for the rescue and rehoming centre, with every penny raised at the event each year helping the horses and ponies being rehabilitated at the farm.
“We’re really grateful to the people of the Fylde Coast who come along and support our Christmas Fair. It always has an incredible atmosphere and it’s great to share the heart-warming stories of our horses and ponies with visitors,” says Farm Manager Adam Cummins.
“With the colder months now upon us, we’re expecting a surge in welfare cases, with reports of a lot of horses around the country having come out of the summer underweight due to the lack of grass so fundraising is more vital than ever to help us reach the horses in need of rescuing this winter,” adds Adam.
Among the horses visitors will be able to meet at the event is Jean, a skewbald mare who was rescued in August so emaciated that she tragically lost her foal just weeks after being rescued. Now, however, Jean is thriving and will be receiving the very best of care at Penny Farm this Christmas.
The Christmas Fair will run from 11am-3pm on 7th December. Those who wish to attend can book tickets for Santa’s Grotto on our events page or call Penny Farm on 01253 766983 to find out more.
