Meet Dill

Dill is looking for his new home as a companion. Dill originally came into the centre with a group of unhandled ponies from Gelligaer Common in Wales. While he is now good to handle when confident and in a familiar routine he can become sensitive in a new environment and is he looking for a rehomer who would enjoy building a bond with him and who will give him lots of time and understanding while he settles into his new home. By nature, Dill is usually at the top of the herd dynamics and is looking for a home with a gelding companion who would be happy with this. Dill will need his grazing monitored but he isn’t on a very restricted diet, and he could stable part time. In the right environment with a rehomer who is happy to give Dill lots of time to settle in, he could learn to be left alone for short periods.

Important stuff

Dill can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Dill is not suitable to be worked.

History

Dill came into the centre as an unhandled stallion from Gelligaer common in 2023.
