Meet Sugar

After being successfully rehomed for a number of years, Sugar has returned to us through no fault of her own and is now looking for a new home as a companion. Good to handle in all ways Sugar lives with a small herd of mares here at the farm and is a lovely companion. By nature, Sugar is kind and calm, she can sometimes be a little sensitive to groom when she’s cold and wet and is looking for a handler who understands when she communicates her discomfort. Sugar could stable part time, needs her grazing monitored to prevent obesity and is looking for a home where she isn’t left alone. To keep her mobile and supple she does enjoy food related stretches and would be looking for a rehomer who would be happy to continue with these.

Important stuff

Sugar can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Sugar is not suitable to be worked.

History

Sugar is one of eleven horses who came into the centre in 2022 as part of a request for help from her owner. She was wary and unsure at first but has since blossomed into a confident little mare.
