Meet Big Mumma

Big Mumma or Daphne as she is known at the centre is ready to be rehomed as a companion. She is a really sweet mare who is good to handle in all ways and would thrive in a quiet home with constant company and where she could live on restricted grazing. In the right environment she could be stabled part-time if needed. Daphne does need to continue to have her legs clipped regularly, we have taught her this using clicker training so a rehomer who can continue this would be preferred.

Important stuff

Big Mumma can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Big Mumma is not suitable to be worked.

History

Big Mumma came into our centre in Norfolk with a foal at foot and as part of a prosecution case. She was then transferred to Glenda Spooner Farm here in Somerset.
