Meet Jo Jo

Jo Jo is ready to find a new home as a non ridden companion. He is a lovely chap, who is very friendly and enjoys lots of fuss and grooming. He came into us earlier this year entire and unhandled. He has come on very well in his time with us, and would be best suited to a rehomer who has had experience of bigger horses as he still needs some guidance as he matures. He is very good to catch, handle and groom. He is good for the vet and farrier, but may just need a patient approach the first time he meets them. He gets on very well with others and despite his size, can be pushed around easily, so wouldn't suit a home with quite dominant characters, he prefers quieter, laid back friends. Due to being gelded late he can only be turned out with geldings. He needs his weight watching a little through the spring and summer months, but hasn't required restricted grazing. He doesn't like being left on his own, so will need a home where he will have equine company at all times. If you can offer lovely Jo Jo a home, please apply online.

Jo Jo can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Jo Jo is not suitable to be worked.

History

Jo Jo came into Penny Farm entire and unhandled after his owner could no longer look after him.
