Meet Gelliniog Nanw (Hazel)

Hazel is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion. She arrived at Penny Farm unhandled and very scared. Her groom has worked hard to increase her confidence and gain her trust and she has come on incredibly well. Hazel is still nervous, especially in new situations, and really thrives with consistent daily handling with the same handler. She would be best suited to a quiet yard, as she struggles in busier environments. Hazel is a very sweet pony, who really tries her hardest to please, and would be someone's best friend once she's settled in to her new home. She gets on well with others, and tends to be very low in the herd dynamics, so would be best suited to being with other quieter, laid back ponies. She will need her weight watching through the spring/summer months. If you can offer Hazel a home, please apply online.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Gelliniog Nanw (Hazel) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Hazel came into Penny Farm after she had been found living in unsuitable conditions.
