Meet Ted

Lovely gelding Ted is now looking for his new home as a companion. Ted is a really friendly young gelding who came into the centre pretty much unhandled. His groom Lily has worked with Ted to increase his confidence and teach him all his basic skills. While he is now good to handle, Ted is still in-experienced, and we are looking for a rehomer who would be happy to give him lots of time and support while he settles into his first new home. In the field Ted is an interactive and fun herd member, usually near the bottom of the herd dynamics but always in the middle of whatever is happening! He will need restricted grazing, could stable part time in a quiet environment and while he hasn’t learnt to be left alone, this is something he could learn in the future.

Important stuff

Ted can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Ted is not suitable to be worked.

History

Ted came into the centre as part of our Help for Horse Owners support service.
