Meet Andorra (Dora)

Andorra is a bonny wee mare who is a sensitive soul. She thrives best with one person as she can be quite reserved with new people; she may need a wee treat to catch until settled into a home. Andorra has really come out of her shell at Belwade Farm with lots of consistent handling from her groom. She will happily come up for a scratch in the field and enjoys coming in for pampering. Andorra would love a nice quiet home as she may be a bit worried on a very busy yard. She adores her friends but would be best suited to living with a few ponies as she can become very attached if she just has one friend for company. Andorra isn't overly keen on living with geldings so would need to live with other mares. She is generally good to handle but can be sharp and worried in new situations; she does not have the temperament to be a small child's ridden pony but will make a much-loved companion. Andorra is a good doer so will need to live with other small ponies on restricted grazing. If you think you could offer this pretty wee cob a new home, please apply online.

Andorra (Dora) can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Andorra (Dora) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Andorra came in through our Help for Horse Owners support service with one other pony in May 2026. She was nervous on arrival at the farm.
