Pippa

Meet Pippa

Pippa is a very friendly young mare looking for her new home as a companion. Pippa came into the centre earlier this year in very poor condition. She had lice, strangles, was very underweight and had a heavy worm burden. Through all her long recovery, Pippa has been a real delight to handle, always coming over for a bit of fuss. Once she had regained some strength it was lovely to see her have enough energy for a bit of a leap and buck. Pippa now lives out with a small herd of mares on restricted grazing and is very sociable with her herd members. Pippa is looking for a home with other horses on restricted grazing and she could stable part time. While Pippa is good to handle, she is still relatively inexperienced so will need a rehomer who understands it may take her time to settle into a new home. In the right environment and with a rehomer who is happy to put in the training, Pippa could learn to be left for short periods by her equine companion.

Important stuff

Pippa can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Pippa is not suitable to be worked.
