Meet Harry
Harry's time in our care has been supported by Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), the official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing. Harry is a handsome chap who during the short time he has been with us is proving to have a sweet nature. He is quite green for his age so will need to be shown and desensitised to new things, although he is so trusting he quickly adapts. It will understandably take Harry time to settle into a new environment, but once established in a routine he has been easy to handle. He has a relaxed attitude and with a rehomer who is happy to continue his education, he should progress well with any experiences he may have missed out on in the past. Harry gets on well with others and he will make a lovely non-ridden companion in the future. Harry is not suitable to ride but he still has a lot to offer in any experienced home.
Important stuff
Harry can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Harry is not suitable to be worked.
History
Harry came into our care as a welfare concern.
