Meet Paige

Paige is a very sweet girl who has the potential to make an amazing pony for someone. Despite her age she did not appear to have had much handling when she came into us so she has been on a steep learning curve. Paige takes a lot of confidence from her handler and she responds best to a calm, gentle approach. Once she has regular one to one handling we believe she will flourish as long as she is given the time to help her build her self confidence. Paige can be a bit fidgety and sometimes snatch her feet away when being groomed, we believe this is more of a confidence issue which should improve in a home once she has formed a bond with her rehomer. For the above reasons we are looking for an experienced handler who is willing to work with her. Physically, Paige could have the potential to back to ride in the future if her rehomer wished to do so, and has previous experience of this. If backed Paige would have a maximum rider weight limit of 8.5 to 9 stones. Alternatively Paige could provide a valuable role as a non-ridden companion to others and lead a happy, settled life.

History

Paige was one of two mares that came into our care after their owner contacted us for help. Her own failing health meant she was unable to provide the care they required and the situation could have developed into a welfare concern.
